Fire Academy Prep Plan


This cycle is 6 weeks long with the 7th week being a test week.


Equipment needed is a Sandbag weighing 50 - 75lb, a pair of DB’s anywhere from 25 - 50 lbs, 20in Plyo-box, weighted vest 14 - 20 lbs, 60ft nylon rope. This cycle is designed to prepare the candidate for the physical demands of a Fire Fighter Academy.


Each Fire Academy has its own standards and physical tests but this cycle is general enough to cover most physical tests while improving your overall fitness. The plan focuses on carrying, dragging, pulling, and lifting/moving odd objects.
